- The iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (IEM) is an index based strategy and aims to track the MSCI Emerging Markets Index which includes large and mid-sized companies in emerging market countries. IEM provides exposure to over 800 companies across emerging market economies.
- IEM allows us to vary the exposure of the portfolio to emerging market equities in a relatively cost effective manner.
- IEM provides exposure to a range of companies across emerging market economies such as China, South Korea, Taiwan, India, Brazil, South Africa, Russia and South American countries to name a few.
- IEM provides exposure to some well known (and perhaps some not so well known) companies such as Tencent, Samsung, Alibaba, Baidu, China Mobile and Hyundai.
